On the start of day #2 I drove up to the lodge with my dad. We talked about what I did on day 1 and things like that. We arrived and there was some off and on rain but we continued. A few minutes in, we stopped for some indian cucumber and a sketch. Then we ducked into the woods to try to scare the other groups coming up the hill ahead. Unfortunately, they never did come that way. The second day was also the day we developed the “strike” game. This is when if you fall you get a strike and we tried to end the day with none, but that never happened. We ate lunch at the furthest part of the mountain if we wanted to be on time back to the bus. For lunch I had a cliff bar and a peanut butter sandwich. We played football when we got back to the lodge until it was broken up by a teacher. Then, my dad and I left and headed home.
On the second day, the day of the big hike, the seventh grade students of HMHS hiked from the AMC cardigan loge to the summit. The students then rode on the bus from Hopkinton Middle High School to the AMC cardigan loge. Finally, we left the loge and drove back to Hopkinton Middle High School.
